SMS Opt-In & Consent
Last updated May 31, 2026
This page documents how end users opt in to the Samuel Stern Project Access text messaging program, operated by Samuel Stern, an independent web developer (samuelstern.dev). It exists so that recipients — and reviewers — can confirm exactly how consent is collected.
Who receives messages
Recipients are existing clients with an established business relationship whose mobile number is already on file. We never purchase, rent, or buy phone numbers, and we never use them for marketing.
How consent is collected (verbal opt-in)
Consent is collected verbally, during a phone callto Samuel Stern’s business line. The client calls in and asks for the private link and access code to preview the website we are building for them. Before any text is sent, the client is read this disclosure and must agree:
“I’ll text your preview link and access code to the mobile number we have on file. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELPfor help. Would you like me to send it?”
The message is sent only after the client says yes on the call, and only to the mobile number already on file — never to a number provided by anyone else.
Sample message
Project access — Riverside Dental Preview link: https://samuelstern.dev/p/riverside Access code: 7396 — Samuel Stern, samuelstern.dev Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply.
Message frequency, rates, and opting out
Message frequency varies — messages are sent only when a client requests project access, so a client typically receives a message just a few times over the course of their project. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP or emailing contact@samuelstern.dev.
